Since the beginning of recorded time, man has claimed to be able to communicate with the spirit world. However, it would not be until the heyday of the Spiritualist movement that he would begin claiming to do so as an everyday occurrence. That particular movement was founded by two young girls, Kate and Maggie Fox, who established a way to communicate with a ghost. They used a series of knocks and raps that answered “yes” and “no” and eventually assigned a code for letters of the alphabet. In this way, they were able to spell out longer and more detailed messages.
As Spiritualism grew in popularity, those with an interest began to establish what were called “home circles”, small groups of friends and family members who would gather around and attempt to communicate with spirits. They experimented with the knocking and rapping sounds and later with Table Tilting, which was accessible to everyone and no professional mediums were needed. The knockings and rappings of the early movement continued to spread in other directions as ordinary people began experimenting with their own skills as mediums. Soon, the tiresome and time-consuming method of knocking and tipping tables began to fall out of fashion and so mediums began a new form of contact called “automatic writing”. While practiced almost solely by spirit mediums, it still became very popular at séances as a direct line to the spirit world.
The open circle
When Vince, now 30, was a child, one of his friends goaded him into playing with a Ouija board in his basement. Young Vince didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary to happen, so he went along with it. Once they started to play, however, the lights began to flicker, the air around them grew cold, and a spirit began to communicate with them through the board. The spirit spelled out a Russian name and claimed he had been murdered.
“We took a break to make some pizza rolls,” Vince says, “but we forgot to close the circle when we were done.” (If you’re new to Ouija board stories, that’s a giant no-no!) “After returning to the basement, the energy was much heavier, and books and things were sprawled out on the floor.” And yet, the board remained perfectly still in the center of the room, just how they had left it. “Upon looking at a mirror that we had nearby, the eye of the Ouija board was moving sporadically in its reflection.”
Solo play
Most people play with a Ouija board in groups, or at least with one other person. But Ossiana wanted to try to use it on her own. She put her hands on the pointer and asked questions, but nothing happened. She took her hands off of the pointer and was about to put the game away when the planchette began to move around on its own. “I’ll never try that again,” says the 30-year-old from New Jersey.
In 1933, Dorothea Turley and her 15 year-old daughter, Mattie, were convicted of the murder their husband and father. On the witness stand, Mattie stated how the Ouija board, which had been directed by her mother, had told her that it was all right to kill her father so that her mother could marry "cowboy". Mattie later killed him with a shotgun. The jury determined that the crime had more to do with insurance money and Dorothea's lover than a Ouija board and Dorothea went to prison and Mattie for reform school, where she stayed until she was 21. Her mother was released on an appeal three years after the original trial.

What are wormholes?
The wormhole theory postulates that a theoretical passage through space-time could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe.
Wormholes are predicted by the theory of general relativity.
But be wary: wormholes bring with them the dangers of sudden collapse, high radiation and dangerous contact with exotic matter.
We asked physicist Robert Kehoe, some frequently asked questions about wormholes.
Robert Kehoe
Professor, Department of Physics, Southern Methodist University
Robert Kehoe is a physicist currently studying the nature of the accelerating expansion of the universe. He is a lead researcher on the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESO), which is creating a far-reaching map of our universe. His research has also included work in particle physics, including contributing to the discovery of the Higgs boson, a previously only theoretical subatomic particle that allows for things to have mass.
Are wormholes theoretically possible?
A wormhole is thought to be essentially a tunnel from one place in space to another. When you have a massive object in spacetime, it basically creates a curvature of the spacetime in the nearby region.
As you get more and more mass, we expect that that curvature becomes more and more extreme. We think such objects occur in the universe, and they are what we call a black hole, where light cannot escape due to this extreme curvature of spacetime.
We think what happens is, at some point, if the mass of an object becomes large enough, the other forces of nature besides gravity can’t support the matter, and it becomes a black hole. You could think about this as one side of a wormhole.
Could you have a situation in which the curvature is extreme enough to connect up with something analogous on the other side somewhere else in spacetime? Theoretically, that could be true.
Has a wormhole ever been found?
No. We have a substantial amount of evidence for the existence of black holes. But there's been no wormholes found.
Are there different types of wormholes?
There are different theoretical implementations of our theory of gravitation, called general relativity, that would describe wormholes with somewhat different properties. For instance, one of the big distinctions in the types of wormholes that are described are whether or not they are traversable — by that I mean, whether you can go from one end to another.
When was the wormhole theory created?
Wormholes were first theorized in 1916, though that wasn't what they were called at the time. While reviewing another physicist's solution to the equations in Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity, Austrian physicist Ludwig Flamm realized another solution was possible. He described a "white hole," a theoretical time reversal of a black hole. Entrances to both black and white holes could be connected by a space-time conduit.
In 1935, Einstein and physicist Nathan Rosen used the theory of general relativity to elaborate on the idea, proposing the existence of "bridges" through space-time. These bridges connect two different points in space-time, theoretically creating a shortcut that could reduce travel time and distance. The shortcuts came to be called Einstein-Rosen bridges, or wormholes.
"The whole thing is very hypothetical at this point," said Stephen Hsu, a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Oregon, told our sister site, LiveScience. "No one thinks we're going to find a wormhole anytime soon."
Wormholes contain two mouths, with a throat connecting the two, according to an article published in the Journal of High Energy Physics (2020). The mouths would most likely be spheroidal. The throat might be a straight stretch, but it could also wind around, taking a longer path than a more conventional route might require.
Einstein's theory of general relativity mathematically predicts the existence of wormholes, but none have been discovered to date. A negative mass wormhole might be spotted by the way its gravity affects light that passes by.
Certain solutions of general relativity allow for the existence of wormholes where the mouth of each is a black hole. However, a naturally occurring black hole, formed by the collapse of a dying star, does not by itself create a wormhole.

You think of someone and they call you or you run into them at a store.
If this happens you should ask yourself, “Why is this person coming into my life at this time?” “What does this mean?”
What if you think of something and you see an ad for it?
We are all connected. Is there a cosmic connection that passes thoughts or feelings to each other?
The dictionary defines Coincidences as, “the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection”
But is there a such thing as Coincidences? Some paranormal researchers don’t believe there is.
It is difficult to find a natural explanation too why a surprising coincidence occurs. In attempting to find one, we might be inclined to accept a paranormal explanation Most researchers believe that circumstances are predetermined and will happen regardless of our input. There is also a belief that a higher power is controlling the outcome and will make things seem to match up in history.
Different circumstances can be attributed to your guardian angels. Is it a circumstance that you decided last minute to take a different route to work only to find out that there was an accident at a corner you would have gone through if you hadn't gone the other way? Or you feel like you forgot something only to run into someone who reminds you of that thing you forgot.
The timeless killing.
Henry Jigland broke up with his girlfriend who killed herself, Her brother looked for him and when he found him he shot Jigland. Thinking he finished him he took his own life. But he didn’t know that he missed Jigland and the bullet got lodged in a tree. Years later Jigland wanted to cut the tree down. But he used explosives and when he detonated the tree the explosion threw the bullet into him killing him instantly.
The Jim twins
Twins James Jim Lewis and Jams Jim Springer we separated just after birth and adopted out to separate families. They grew up with no contact with each other and had no knowledge of each other. When they finally did meet at the age of 39 they found out they were living identical lives. They both had dogs named Toy. They excelled in math and woodworking. They both married a woman named Linda and divorced. They both married again to a woman named Betty. They both had sons and they named them James Allen. They both smoked the same cigarettes, Drove Chevy, and vacationed at the same Florida Beach.
The falling babies of Detroit.
1937 A street sweeper Joseph Figloc from Detroit was cleaning the street when a baby fell out of the fourth floor of a building onto him. He saved the baby's life when it fell on him. A year later he was sweeping in an alleyway when a baby fell from another building onto Figloc saving the baby’s life.
Eger Alien Poe and the Calobleized Boy.
Eger Alien Poe wrote a fictional book called “The Narrative of Arther Gorden Pin of Nantucket. The book is told of 4 shipwreck survivors who after time in the ocean resorted to canalization. They killed and Ater a boy named Richerd Parker. Several years after he published the book a yack named The Minuet sank and there were 4 survivors who were alone in a lifeboat. The 3 older survivors killed and ate the cabin boy named Richerd Parker.
The 27 Club
This started with the death of Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. Then Jim Morison, Janis Joplin, and Jimmy Hendrix. As time went on, Kerk Cobane passed at the age of 27. Recently Amy Winehouse passed at the age of 27. She stated in an interview that she was concerned about that age. Overall, the 27-club claimed over 60 artists, musicians and actors.
Violet Jessop was a maritime nurse who was on the RMS Olympic when the ship collided with the warship HMS Hauk in 1911. The Olympic almost sank but made it to port safely. Jessop was reassigned to The Titanic for its maiden voyage. When it sank in 1912 she survived and was reassigned to the HMHS Britannic which sank in 1916 from an explosion when the ship hit a mine. Where she survived.
The Titan and The Titanic.
In 1898 Morgan Robertson wrote the novel The Wreck of The Titan. The plot revolves around the HMS Titan a British luxury liner that hit an iceberg and sank killing almost everyone on board. In 1912 the Titanic sank in the exact same fashion. Both ships were named unsinkable, both hit an iceberg in the month of April, 400 miles of the coast of New Finland, Both were proximity 800 feet long, and both resulted in the deaths of 2000 people. Both ships didn’t have the correct number of lifeboats and life jackets.
JFK and Abraham Lincon.
Both were elected to congress 100 years apart in 1846 and 1946. The both became presidents 14 years later in 1860 and 1960. Both were guided down by fatal wands to the head. Both were suspended by men named Johnson, who were born 100 years apart. They both died on Friday. Their names contained 7 letters; both of their assassins were killed before trial. Both had 4 children and both lost a son during their time in the Whitehouse. Lincon’s secretary named Kenidy warned him not to go to the theater on the night he was assassinated while Kenidy’s secretary named Lincon, warned him not to go to Dallis. Both vice presidents who assumed office were named Johnson. Both were born 100 years apart. 1808 and 1908
Two events are said to constitute a coincidence if they occur in such a way as to strike an observer as being highly related as regards their structure or their “meaning”; to dismiss such an occurrence as a “mere coincidence” is to imply the belief that each event arose as a result of quite independent causal chains (that is, they are “acausal”) and that no further “meaning” or significance is to be found in this fortuitous concurrence; sometimes, however, a sense of impressiveness is engendered by the belief that the concurrence is so very unlikely as to have been the result of “pure chance” that there must be some cause or reason for the concurrence, thus investing the coincidence with a sense of meaningfulness. In West Virginian folklore, the Mothman is a humanoid creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area from November 15, 1966, to December 15, 1967. The first newspaper report was published in the Point Pleasant Register, dated November 16, 1966, titled "Couples See Man-Sized Bird ... Creature ... Something". The national press soon picked up the reports and helped spread the story across the United States. The source of the legend is believed to have originated from sightings of out-of-migration sandhill cranes or herons.
The creature was introduced to a wider audience by Gray Barker in 1970, and was later popularized by John Keel in his 1975 book The Mothman Prophecies, claiming that there were paranormal events related to the sightings, and a connection to the collapse of the Silver Bridge. The book was later adapted into a 2002 film, starring Richard Gere.[
History
On November 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant—Roger and Linda Scarberry, and Steve and Mary Mallette—told police they had seen a large black creature whose eyes "glowed red", standing at the side of the road near "the TNT area", the site of a former World War II munitions plant. Linda Scarberry described it as a "slender, muscular man" about seven feet tall with white wings, and said that she was unable to discern its face due to the hypnotic effect of its eyes. Distressed, the witnesses drove away at high speed, and said that the creature flew after their car, making a screeching sound. It pursued them as far as Point Pleasant city limits.
During the next few days, other people reported similar sightings, after local newspapers reported it. Two volunteer firemen who saw it said it was a "large bird with red eyes". Mason County Sheriff George Johnson commented that he believed the sightings were due to an unusually large heron he termed a "shitepoke". Contractor Newell Partridge told Johnson that when he aimed a flashlight at a creature in a nearby field, its eyes glowed "like bicycle reflectors". Additionally, he blamed buzzing noises from his television set and the disappearance of his German Shepherd dog on the creature. Wildlife biologist Robert L. Smith at West Virginia University told reporters that descriptions and sightings all fit the sandhill crane, a large American crane almost as tall as a man with a seven-foot wingspan featuring circles of reddish coloring around the eyes. The bird may have wandered out of its migration route, and therefore was unrecognized at first because it was not native to this region.
Due to the popularity of the Batman TV series at the time, the fictional superhero Batman and his rogues gallery were prominently featured in the public eye. While the villain Killer Moth did not appear in the show, the comic book influence of both him and Batman is believed by some to have influenced the coinage of the name "Mothman" in the local newspapers.
Following the December 15, 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge and the death of 46 people, the incident gave rise to the legend and connected the Mothman sightings to the bridge collapse.
According to Georgian newspaper Svobodnaya Gruziya, Russian UFOlogists claim that Mothman sightings in Moscow foreshadowed the 1999 Russian apartment bombings.
The Mothman Prophecies (2002) is a major motion picture, loosely based on the 1975 book of the same name by John Keel.
In 2016, WCHS-TV published a photo purported to be of Mothman taken by an anonymous man while driving on Route 2 in Mason County. Science writer Sharon A. Hill proposed that the photo showed "a bird, perhaps an owl, carrying a frog or snake away" and wrote that "there is zero reason to suspect it is the Mothman as described in legend. There are too many far more reasonable explanations."

The Late Fr. The late Rev. Father Constantine Moussa was the church priest at the time of these apparitions. The apparitions lasted from only a few minutes up to several hours and were sometimes accompanied by luminous heavenly bodies shaped like doves and moving at high speeds. The apparitions were seen by millions of Egyptians and foreigners. Among the witnesses were Orthodox, Catholics, Protestants, Moslems, Jews and non-religious people from all walks of life. The sick were cured and blind persons received their sight, but most importantly large numbers of unbelievers were converted...

Your energy is so uncontainable, it’s a bit dangerous. Both your positive and negative emotions have the ability to affect others around you, creating massive social change as well as individual change. You can channel your experiences in such a way that it serves you and those of others, transforming traumas into miracles and fears into alchemy. You can move people to tears, uplift someone’s spirits and provide healing encouragement as much as you can strike down a malicious person with the destructive force of your anger which is akin to thunder.
You are literally “one” with nature, its elements, the earth and its seasons. In fall and winter, you shed old beliefs, toxic relationships, and destructive patterns. In spring, you come alive again and feel the rebirth of your psyche.
You’re capable of massive manifestation. What you desire, so long as it serves your greater purpose, usually always comes to fruition. Whether you engage in prayer, spellwork, meditation – whatever form your unique form of magic takes – you have the power to create new opportunities for yourself wherever you go.
Even if you’re the sweetest little white witch around, you will make people nervous because you threaten every limiting belief about human power. And because you’re so grounded in your ability to change yourself, your life and the world, you challenge everyone around you to see their own divinity (something not everyone is willing to do).
As the great (albeit fictional) Albus Dumbledore once noted, “Words are an inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” And indeed, your words could create new worlds if you willed them to. Be careful as a white witch what you say, because your words are a powerful outlet and source of creation, even if you don’t recognize it.

Listen in to the episode #362 of the 222 Paranormal Podcast and enjoy!
According to data from Podcasthosting.org, 55% of Americans have listened to at least one episode of a podcast, and about 37% say they listen to a podcast at least every month. But have you ever considered exactly what’s going on in your mind as you listen to a podcast?
"Your brain is a complex organ," explains materials scientist and engineer Titi Shodiya, who hosts the podcast Dope Labs alongside molecular biologist Zakiya Whatley. "At any given moment, various parts of your brain are firing off different messages." Scientifically speaking, consuming information can activate your mesolimbic pathway, also known as the "reward pathway," releasing dopamine throughout the brain. This "feel-good" chemical is responsible for pleasure and lighting up your mind's reward centers.
So how can listening to podcasts benefit your brain? A 2016 study out of UC Berkeley concluded that listening to narrative stories (much like podcasts) can stimulate multiple parts of your brain — so whether it's that adrenaline rush you get from true crime podcasts or a paranormal podcast that boosts your endorphins, there's truly something out there for everyone.
Podcasts encourage the spirit of debate, and paranormal reports couldn’t be more suited. Skeptics and believers will argue about the existence of Bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts, and demonic presences until the end of time. Personal testimony and scientific research make the case for the validity of paranormal accounts. If you can’t believe it with your eyes, maybe you will with your ears.
Paranormal podcasts are popular for several reasons. According to a post on Student Assembly, some people listen to paranormal podcasts because they enjoy feeling scared in a safe way. Others listen because they are curious about the paranormal and want to learn more about it 1. Paranormal podcasts also encourage debate between skeptics and believers about the existence of Bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts, and demonic presences
