When you think of insane asylums, you think a place for indivduals to go to get help for their mental and sometimes physical conditions. But what if the place you were sent was the worst of the worst? What if you knew you would never leave? Then think of Pennhurst. One of America's most tragic and horrific shames was the Pennhurst Asylum. Years of neglect and abuse were not exposed until one brave reporter took on the story, trying to shed light and help the mistreated patients. Unfortunately, most did not survive and too this day have not left. The buildings and halls, rooms and spaces are haunted the poor souls of the who agonize in the afterlife.

Listen in to the 222 Paranormal Podcast as we tell the sad tale of the Haunted Pennhurst Asylum.
